We are thrilled to announce that THRU ZIM made a resounding impact at the Eleventh EDCTP Forum in Paris, France, held from 7th to 10th November. Under this year's theme of "Partnering for Global Health Research Innovation and Impact in Africa – Celebrating EDCTP: two decades and beyond," our team shone brightly. On November 8th, the prestigious 2023 EDCTP Outstanding Research Team Prize was awarded to us. This remarkable achievement recognizes our team's exceptional accomplishments, scientific contributions, and policy impact in research, capacity development, and networking across sub-Saharan Africa and Europe. The esteemed Prof. Hannah Akuffo, former Chair of the EDCTP General Assembly, presented us with a recognition trophy, along with a substantial cash prize of €50,000. Many thanks to Prof. Katharina Kranzer, Prof. Rashida Ferrand, Nyasha Dzavakwa, and Dr. Mandi Tembo for receiving the award on behalf of the THRU ZIM team. Additionally, we take pride in the participation of our talented early career researchers at the forum. Tafadzwa Madanhire, Edith Majonga, Nyasha Dzavakwa, Edson Marambire, and Claire Calderwood all showcased their outstanding PhD and postdoctoral research work, further highlighting THRU ZIM's commitment to fostering excellence and nurturing future scientific leaders. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the entire THRU ZIM team for their unwavering dedication and invaluable contributions. Congratulations to everyone involved in this remarkable achievement!
