THRU-ZIM launches Wellness Series with lunchtime walks

 THRU-ZIM kicked off its Wellness Series in early February with lunchtime walks—and the response has been fantastic! What began with just eight participants has now grown to 18 enthusiastic walkers, each covering an impressive 3.5 km on average. These walks offer more than just physical activity; they’ve become a time to connect, unwind, and take a refreshing break from our desks. Led by Ethel Dauya, the initiative has quickly become a favorite among colleagues looking to add a little movement to their workday.


The Wellness Series coordinator, Kate Mattick shared that the walks are just the beginning. “Throughout 2025, we’ll be focusing on different aspects around wellness which include physical activity, mental health, and nutrition, offering a variety of activities to help everyone find a way to prioritize their wellness,” Look out for more exciting sessions coming up in the first quarter, including stretch sessions, pilates, zumba, and general fitness activities.
